Establishing Years: 2009-2011

  • Inception: Founded by maritime professionals, COMPASS aimed to provide affordable, high-quality training for Filipino seafarers, challenging industry norms.
  • Alignment with Global Standards: Received ISO 9001:2008 certification and met STCW 2010 requirements.
  • Asia-Pacific First: Became the first DNV-certified TOTS training provider.
  • Diversified Offerings: Introduced customized training, Danish Medical Care courses, SIRE, and Tanker Vetting Seminars.

Growth & Expansion - 2012-2014

  • Industry Partnerships: Official training providers for FURUNO Navskills™ and WARTSILA type-specific ECDIS.
  • MARLINS’ Approved Test Centre: Conducted English language tests.
  • Quality Certification: Earned ISO 9001:2015 and DNV-GL standards compliance.
  • MARINA Approval: Offered Management Level courses and Crowd Management/Crisis Management Training.

Growth & Expansion - 2015-2016

  • Global Recognition: Certifications acknowledged by Liberia Maritime Authority and Panama Maritime Authority.
  • COMPASS OFFSHORE: Approved Training and Assessment Center per OPITO Standards.
  • COMPASS Center for Leadership & Management: Introduced soft skills training programs. 
  • Modern & Cutting-Edge Facility (2016): Inaugurated advanced training facility in Silang, Cavite.

  • Provincial Reach: Established a branch in Iloilo City and Antique for easier access to the Panay  region.

  • Rebranding and COMPASS PeopleSkills: Refreshed the overall COMPASS brand and reintroduced its HR and soft-skills training through the COMPASS PeopleSkills business unit.
