Provides training, guidance and practice for all seafarers involved in mooring operations. It also covers the basic principles of mooring operation of ships. The training utilizes the mooring station and equipment.

It is also a requirement under Tables A-II/1, A-II/3, A-II/5 and Section A-VIII/2 Part 5 of the STCW Code as amended in 2010.
