COMPASS Training Center now conducts AHA-accredited Basic and Advanced Life Support Training

COMPASS Training Center Inc. has entered into partnership with the University of Sto. Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery Life Support Training Center which paved the way to gain recognition and accreditation by the American Heart Association to provide and conduct Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) courses including Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and First Aid Courses. Last June 30, 2016, an official agreement signing was held at the Office of the Dean, University of Sto. Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery between UST-FMS LSTC headed by Jesus V. Valencia, MD, MHPEd, Dean of UST-FMS, Ma. Lourdes Domingo-Maglinao, MD, MHPEd, Assistant Dean of UST-FMS, Mary Josephine Ruby Tiongson, M.D., Secretary of UST-FMS LSTC and COMPASS Training Center Inc., headed by Dakila P. Villanueva, President, Antonio B. Burguete Jr., Research and Development Manager and Jonalane D. Cabral, Quality Manager.

This endeavor is in line with the commitment to provide extensive training for the maritime industry, making safety of life at sea a priority, we firmly believe that with this partnership we can promote awareness that it is of vital importance that seafaring individuals are compliant and readily available with adequate and effective training to render assistance to any life-threatening conditions that may arise on board. At the end of the day, it is our vested interest to contribute to global maritime safety through training and instruction.
