COMPASS Receives Award from the Philippine NAVY

Last April 24, 2012, COMPASS Training Center Inc., was invited by the Philippine Navy to join in the celebration of the 74th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Fleet held at the Naval Air Group Hangar in angley Point, Cavite City. The event was highlighted by awarding of outstanding Fleet Personnel, the launching of the Fleet Training Center’s newly installed Bridge Simulator and the first wreath laying ceremony held in the newly constructed Sailor Heroes Memorial.

COMPASS Training Center Inc., was one of the special awardees of the Philippine Fleet. C/E Randy Juanola, representative of COMPASS, received the plaque of appreciation given by the Commander of the Philippine Fleet, RADM Jose Luis M. Alano, for the invaluable services and support of COMPASS for the Philippine Fleet in rendering training services and support without any cost particularly in major courses conducted by the Fleet Training Center.

The Bridge Simulators Trainings such a Command-At-Sea Course and Ship Executive Officer Course conducted by COMPASS instructors to the new students of the Philippine Fleet contributed to the ships handling skills of future Commanding Officers and Executive Officers of Philippine Navy vessels, according to RADM Alano. He also mentioned in his speech that COMPASS is a valuable partner of the Philippine Navy. He appreciates the continues assistance extended to their officers.

Because of this partnership and as part of the Philippine Fleet’s effort to uplift its personnel Capacity Development Program, both parties entered into a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) joined by Technological University of the Philippines-Cavite on February 07, 2012. The MOC provides all entities withh an extensive awareness for research and development.

The celebration ended by awarding of the plaque of appreciation to distinguished guests. COMPASS plaque wa handed-over by Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Chief of Staff General Jessie D. Dellosa, their Guest of Honor, together with Commander of the Philippine Fleet, RADM Jose Luis M. Alano and Defense Secretary Volatire Gazmin, their Special Guest.
