Team Energy Projects

COMPASS Training Center Inc. and TeaM Energy Phils., a private business entity that generates and supplies reliable and affordable energy in Luzon, have entered into a Memorandum of Agreement last February 11, 2011. The signing of the MOA was represented by the Training Manager of TeaM Energy, Mr. Leonardo Da Vinci P. Suarez and its Operations Trainer, Mr. Eugene S. Nagtalon while COMPASS was represented by its President, Mr. Dakila P. Villanueva. By virtue of the signed MOA, COMPASS Training Center Inc., through the efforts of C/M Angelo Jay Jacobo and his team, developed and came-up with specialized training courses that are suitable to the specific needs and concerns of the TeaM Energy Phils.

The 4-Day Training was conducted by COMPASS’ representatives, Capt. Ricardo Miranda and Capt. Juvel Deduyo which was held at the power plant site of TeaM Energy in Pagbilao, Quezon on February 18-21, 2011, and was participated by 22 male trainees, 9 of them are Seafarers in which they are called as the Major Patrons, and the rest are from the Support Group of the company.

Said training is composed of 12-hour classroom lecture and 12-hour hands-on / practical test. Students were taught about Collision Avoidance and Navigational Watchkeeping which includes meteorology and safe work practices and procedures. They were also trained and had practical test on Boat Handling and Manuevering of Catamaran Fast Ferry Vessels and the Operational Use of FURUNO DGPS, Echo Sounder and Radar which includes mooring operation, electronic and terrestrial navigation.

Because of the high quality training that COMPASS provides, power plants of TeaM Energy in Sual, Pangasinan and Ilijan, Batangas showed interest in conducting the same training to its employees. In addition to this, future partnership with Team Energy for their other training requirements is now being assessed not limiting to the existing courses. For more information visit www.compass.ph.
